This plate was developed with common drag race transmissions in mind. On the initial install you will need part FPS174A to complete the package as well as bolt kit FPHM111.5MMx1.125-6 (Long LS crank bolts). The beauty of this plate and accompanying parts, is that it bolts directly on to the standard 6 bolt LS crank, provides the factory location for the ring gear, ensuring standard starter fitment and provides the correct location and bore for a standard TH400 or Powerglide torque converter. If you are coupling an LS engine to a Powerglide or TH400 transmission this plate will be a real problem solver.
